WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

Da Maundsta

I am a poet, dramatist, and actor. I am considered by many people to be the greatest playwriter of all time. Some of my plays, such as Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet, are the most famous literary works in the world. However, my earlier works did not match the works of some guy named Marlowe.

I was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, a small country town. Stratford was famous for its malting. The black plague killed in 1564 one out of seven of the town's 1,500 inhabitants. I was the oldest son of my mom, the daughter of a local landowner, and my father, John Shakespeare who was a glover and wood dealer.

Very little is known about my childhood, and my later works have inspired a number of different interpretations. When I was 18 i married the love of my life, Anne Hathaway who was eight years older than me! I had a couple children with my wife and one of them, my only son, died at age 11. It was very hard on me and some say I referred to his death in one of my plays. My largest drama, Hamlet, was first printed in 1603. It was actually based on a lost play called Ur-Hamlet! I just continued to write plays till my death which was actually April 23, 1616.

I am known as the father of the English language. I have written many great works of literature. I am well known for the plays that I have written. A few of my plays include Julius Caesar, Macbeth, and Hamlet. While the actors are rehearsing for the performances some of my rival companies send individuals to spy on us. They then go and make unauthorized copies of my works and try to sell it as if it was their work.

I am an english poet. Some of my work that still remains are about 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems. I was born and raised in Stratford-upon-Avon. At the age of 18, I married Anne Hathaway, with whom he had three children. Between 1585 and 1592, I began a successful career in London. I then retired at Stratford around 1613, where I unfortunately died three years later.
